Independent Studio Sessions
Independent Studio Sessions are available exclusively for potters who have completed a course at Chester Clay Club. These supervised sessions are designed for those who are confident working independently and would like dedicated studio time to practise and develop their skills.
This is not a taught class, just focused, creative time in a supportive studio environment.
Wheel Throwers
Perfect for potters who can confidently centre and lift clay walls on their own. Enjoy uninterrupted wheel time in a welcoming, relaxed space.
(5 wheel spaces available per session)
Hand Builders
For makers who would like dedicated studio time to explore ideas and work independently. Share the space with other potters while focusing on your own projects.
(3 handbuilding spaces available per session)
What’s Included
2.5-Hour Session - £35 per person
• Access to studio space and equipment
• Stoneware clay and glazes provided
• Supervised session (no instruction)
Firing is charged based on the weight of your finished pieces:
• £5 per piece up to 500g
• £8 per piece up to 1kg
• £12 per piece up to 1.5kg
• Larger pieces charged depending on kiln space
This includes glaze and both firings.
